Last week my fellow class mate Dick, who is the sweetest 92 year old man, helped me with this chip and dip platter when I was having trouble making it big enough. Ya know I need it big cuz I love my chips, Cape Cod please.
I told Dick we both have to sign the bottom of the platter, since it wasn't all me.
This week Trevor our amazing instructor, showed us how to press items into the clay to leave a design, I chose small Magnolia leaves and love the results! This piece hasn't been fired or glazed, it is straight off of the wheel and drying for a week. I can't wait to see how it turns out.
I really shouldn't be showing my pottery pieces until after Christmas incase they will become gifts, but a peek or two won't ruin any surprises right?
If you want to see my latest Santa take a peek here.
Have to go whip up some quick watercolor cards. The Navy recruits that I write to while they're in boot camp graduate next week, so I need to remind them how extra proud we are of them.
Have a great night and happy early Halloween!!
