Isn't it funny how you have every intention to do a specific project but end up doing something completely different?
The weatherman told me it was going to rain last weekend, so a good indoor project such as the shelf came to mind with a break or two to puddle jump with Hope.
Well, we awoke to gorgeous weather and Spanish Moss blowing in the breeze, and hopped into the truck and headed to buy veggies and supplies for a raised vegetable garden.
Matt, made us the most wonderful (NYC rooftop sized garden) I mean raised garden, that I am ever so thankful for (now).
Ya know how you have things envisioned in your head and then they don't turn out that way, well this was one of those times. My peas and cukes etc were supposed to grow vertically up our fence but there were huge tree stumps in the way.
My harvest was supposed to be plentiful and would put any farmer's market to shame.( I really don't think that way) but I had huge plans on canning (for the first time) freezing for our long winter ( a week or 2 of winter coat wearing cold),
and sharing with our wonderful neighbors.
Well dear ol' matt had big plans to keep me sane and designed a managable garden, and that it is. I'm sure I will be thanking him when summer is in full swing and I just want to play!!
I will have to take a picture of our crops, but for now I will share some of the flower planting we did last weekend.
Have to go a sweet kitten is jumping on the keyboard.
